Rebuilding California’s Opportunity Infrastructure

California's 2026 Health, Wealth, & Dignity Agenda

Collaborating to design a policy roadmap for California

Latino leaders from across California gathered to delve into the issues that matter for California and Latino communities across the state. Listen as the Ad Hoc Latino Leaders Group members share why the 2026 Agenda is so critical for the state and for people who often don’t see Sacramento decisions impact on their daily lives.

Our Advocacy Pillars

Health is a human right:

The 2026 Agenda features proposals to expand access to care, including a state constitutional amendment to guarantee universal healthcare, sustainable revenue streams for whole-person care, and reinvestment in healthcare infrastructure, workforce, and telehealth systems.

Wealth

Rebuilding California’s Opportunity infrastructure:
The 2026 Agenda features proposals for sustained investments in workforce development, housing access, and family support systems. It also calls for realigning economic development strategies to create debt-free pathways to high-wage careers and build intergenerational prosperity for every Californian from birth to maturity.

Dignity

Dignity as a governing standard:
The 2026 Agenda advances a bold vision of belonging and full participation, expanding access to the ballot, protecting Californians with prior contact with the criminal legal system from discrimination as they rebuild their lives, and strengthening the state’s civic and cultural infrastructure through sustained, dedicated funding.

About the Ad Hoc Latino Leaders Group

The 2026 Agenda is designed to inform dialogue, guide investment, and support leadership across sectors—reflecting shared priorities and ambition, while recognizing that no single organization endorses every proposal in full.

Over four dozen leaders contributed to shaping the Agenda, representing diverse geographies across California, a wide range of sectors, multiple generations, and deep expertise across policy issues—ensuring the final product reflects the breadth, complexity, and lived experiences of Latino communities statewide.
